Wirihana Memorials and Headstones is a small husband & wife operated business based from our home in Huntly.
My name is Clay Wilson and for the past 14 years I have had the honour of carving headstones for whānau all over Aotearoa.
My wife Kylie Wilson, of Ngāti Porou descent, is the image and plaque designer. Kylie designs and creates plaques and headstone drafts from the wordings that are given to us by whānau.
The stone I carve for our taonga is Oamaru limestone. Oamaru stone is a natural limestone cut out of the hills of Oamaru in the bottom of the South Island. It is a heavy, durable stone that once sealed makes a long lasting, stunning headstone / memorial.
